Soroptimist Service

In addition to the hands-on-projects that SI Fort Collins undertakes for our local and global sisters,
we support the following:

Soroptimist Rocky Mountain Region Governors Project
For 2012-14 Rocky Mountain Region was a partner in funding a preventive program against cervical cancer in rural regions of Armenia.   Once our financial commitment was met, additional funds received were distributed to Children of Peace for their cervical cancer prevention program.

December 10, Soroptimist Presidents Appeal
2013 and 15: The See Solar, Cook Solar Appeal will support Soroptimist projects all over the world that educate women about renewable energy and empower and enable opportunities for them, by providing solar lanterns and cookers. Project sites will be announced.

Soroptimist International Quadrennial
Educate to Lead: Soroptimists educating, empowering, and enabling opportunities for women and girls around the world.

Soroptimist Disaster Fund for Women and Girls
These funds target the special needs of women and girls during natural and man-made disasters. Women and girls are particularly vulnerable during disasters and lack access to resources. Women and girls also have special abilities to respond to disasters. Soroptimist's disaster recovery program mitigates the barriers facing women and girls during disasters. Funds are pooled from voluntary contributions to Soroptimist.
